About Your Speech Therapist & Lactation Counselor
Jaime Perez, MS, CCC-SLP, CLC, CNT, NTMCT
Owner, Certified Lactation Counselor, Certified Neonatal Therapist, Certified Neonatal Touch and Massage Therapist, Certified Small Baby Care Specialist, ASHA Certified Speech-Language Pathologist
Welcome to Thriving Joy Pediatric Therapy! I am Jaime Perez, a dedicated speech therapist and certified lactation counselor with over a decade of experience, holding a Bachelor’s in Business from James Madison University and a Master’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Loyola University of Maryland. With extensive experience in neonatal intensive care units, pediatric hospitals, and outpatient clinics, I bring a wealth of knowledge to my private practice to provide the highest quality care.
My shift to private practice stemmed from a personal struggle with breastfeeding and the universal challenges of parenthood. This experience, coupled with my professional background, inspires my holistic, family-centered approach. I focus on empowering parents, addressing the root causes of challenges, and advocating for holistic paths of care. I strive to ensure every family feels listened to, valued, and confident in their care plan.
I am deeply committed to forming genuine connections with my clients, understanding their unique challenges and aspirations beyond therapy sessions. My aim is to create a supportive, stress-free environment where families know they are not just clients but friends. Accessibility, empathy, and dedication guide my practice, ensuring families receive the comprehensive support they need.
My clients and colleagues would describe me as a loyal, genuine person who cares deeply for my clients and their families. I have a strong faith and a deep moral compass and want to do right by everyone. I give my clients my whole heart and advocate tirelessly for them.
When I'm not working, I am either at the hockey rink cheering on my boys, at church, or on a camping adventure. I am a mountain girl at heart and will take any opportunity I can to escape to a quiet cabin in the woods and get a break from the Florida heat.
