Thriving Joy is a mobile practice that meets families at home or daycare. We travel throughout Central Pasco and Northern Hillsborough Counties of Florida.
Evaluations
Evaluations allow us to get to know your family, assess feeding and communication skills in the moment, and make a plan for therapy. Parent education is an integral part of our process, and we strive to give you ideas that you can implement at home to start making progress right away.

We believe that family-centered care is important because you are the expert on your child. Our goal is to come alongside your family and support your child’s development in everyday life.
Rather than focusing on surface-level symptoms, we take time to identify the root cause of your child’s challenges and provide collaborative, holistic therapy services to overcome them.
When appropriate, we also make referrals to other medical professionals to ensure that you get the best outcomes from therapy. Together, we will learn, grow, and find joy in the journey!
Feeding & Swallowing Therapy for Infants & Toddlers
Feeding Therapy
Feeding and swallowing challenges can cause stress for the whole family. We have specialized experience working with medically complex infants and children, and we collaborate with all providers to find the best approach for each family. Our training and experience gives us confidence in treating any child, including premature infants, infants experiencing cardiac, respiratory, or gastrointestinal challenges, and children with genetic disorders, craniofacial differences, gastrostomy tubes, and tracheostomies.
Whether feeding by breast, bottle, tube, or progressing through solid foods, we will help your child thrive. Our feeding therapy sessions will focus on:

Breastfeeding is challenging to master, and every baby is different. We use our expertise in lactation, neonatal therapy, and feeding therapy to make breastfeeding a positive and successful experience— for both mother and baby!
Whether you want to prepare for breastfeeding before baby’s arrival or you’re seeking a breastfeeding evaluation after birth, we will provide hands-on support to help you reach your goals. At Thriving Joy, lactation counseling services include:
Prenatal consultations and education
Lactation assessments, including baby oral motor examination
Troubleshooting breastfeeding, pumping, and supply challenges
Support navigating tethered oral tissues (e.g., lip and tongue ties)
