Helpful Information

Billing & Insurance

At this time, Thriving Joy Pediatric Therapy does not participate in or submit directly to any insurance plans. This allows us to provide a customized therapy plan that is in the child's best interest rather than having coverage determined by a third party. We are a participating provider with Step Up for Students and accept the Step Up Scholarship.

  • We offer free consultation calls and would be happy to discuss your specific observations and guide you on whether an evaluation and therapy seems warranted.

  • Yes! Sometimes the frequency of services a child receives at school is not enough. If you feel your child would benefit from additional, private services, we would love to help.

  • Absolutely! Many times, formal assessments and scores do not capture the whole picture, and services may be beneficial for the child. We would be happy to provide that support.

  • We love to collaborate and believe that outcomes are better when providers work together.

  • We prefer in person therapy, but some circumstances require telehealth and we are happy to discuss if that option is best for your family.

  • During coaching sessions, we will provide you with knowledge about feeding and/or speech & language development, model activities and approaches that you can implement to give your child a head start in reaching their milestones, discuss favorite toys, utensils, and learning tools, and then follow up with a parent guide specific to the topics we discussed.

  • Always! We would love nothing more than to have you alongside your child for their sessions, but we also understand if this is a time you need to step away to recharge. We just ask that you remain nearby and accessible during sessions. If there is specific information we want you to have or activities we want you to observe, we will be sure to tell you.

  • Typically we see children in their home or at daycare (if space is available), but we can also be creative to meet the needs of the child and family. Services may be provided at a park or other creative space if that is what is best.

  • Referrals are not required but can provide helpful information.
